T H E A R T I S T S ' C A S E It took 3 years and almost a dozen prototypes to perfect the Salvatore Accardo by Musafia case. Built in 6-ply laminate, the interior is lined in finest Italian silk velvet, satin, and glove-quality leather (same used by designer Roberta di Camerino) and with solid brass detailing, while the replaceable case cover is in waterproof Cordura or Riviera nylon with an ample music pocket. The design incorporates 4 self-locking bow holders, 4-point suspension system, hygrometer, humidifier, padded blanket and double carrying strap with backpack system. |

T H E W O R L D C L A S S M U S I C I A N Mr. Accardo wanted a case whch was light, easy to handle, safe for his Stradivari (as well as his del Gesu or his Maggini), and tastefully elegant without being overstated. He liked this model enough to allow us to use his name on it. |

U N I Q U E F E A T U R E S / 1 Exclusive curved structural partitions increase interior space with elegance beyond par. Three distinct areas accomodate strings in packages, shoulder rest, mute, etc.

U N I Q U E F E A T U R E S / 2 Bow tips are cradled in special Alcantara-covered cushions. Bow ribbons are embossed with a design reproducing the inlay of the 1677 Stradivari "Sunrise", deriving from an original design supplied by the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. The lid is finished with cherry burl wood trim, polished by hand with six coats of gumlack, a traditional violin-maker's varnish mixed and colored in our own workshop. No one else makes cases like this. |
